A published profile is a living record. Anyone featured may correct it, add to it, or withdraw it.
What you may request
Corrections of factual error; updated credentials following a new qualification; newly published papers, books or chapters; new awards, patents, fellowships or grants; a change of role, institution or country; amendment of a photograph or quotation; and complete withdrawal of a profile from publication.
You do not need to justify a withdrawal request. If you would prefer not to be published, we will unpublish the profile.
How we handle requests
Requests are reviewed in order of receipt by the profiles desk. Straightforward factual corrections are usually made within a few working days. Where a request adds a credential or claim, we may ask for a supporting reference before publishing it — the same standard applied to an original submission.
Substantive changes are recorded in a visible update history on the profile, showing the date of each revision and what changed. Typographical fixes are not logged.
Third-party concerns
If you are not the subject of a profile but believe it contains an inaccuracy — for instance, if you represent an institution named in a record — please write to us with specifics. We take such reports seriously and will investigate. Where a claim cannot be substantiated on review, we amend or unpublish it.
